Wordle - added to my blog. Fun!

Ning
- I located a quilting community and joined a blog for UFOers. Quilters have a term for their uncompleted projects: UnFinished Objects. A good rule of thumb to get projects done was what I found on this blog. For every 2 unfinished objects (quilt) completed, you get to start a new project. 8-) I can also post a picture of my finished project.

GoogleDocs
– I shared an evaluation file with a presenter for an interactive whiteboard in-service for today. She created a survey using the spreadsheet tools??? I am not sure how to do this but I want to find out more.

Diigo
– Would this be a way to get around the problem I had with multiple students adding links to resources that all could use? I am not sure. I do like the idea that the teacher doesn’t have to provide email addresses for the students when setting up student accounts.

SlideShare
– Site gives users the ability to upload and share PowerPoint presentations and Word documents. You need to be careful and preview the sites. The one I really liked (see second link) had a woman looking at Cosmo and an article title about sex was on the front page but I still think I could use it with adults! The first one, http://www.slideshare.net/ictfacilitator/using-wiki-to-engage-my-class was not well done. It included a picture of the teacher flashing the peace sign! However, I persevered and found a very polished presentation that is usable and thought provoking about these tech tools we have been immersed in these last 2 weeks.

PageFlakes
caught my eye as one can create a page that reflects his/her interests. The example shows a weather conditions page, a picture, places for social networking, a calendar, you name it! I think I would like to create a page for myself.
